Hey readers,
Welcome back to your weekly tech digest, a quick look at the biggest stories shaping the tech world this past week.
What did you miss? OpenAI rolled out GPT-6 to every ChatGPT user, and the headline feature is “Intelligent UI”: answers that can now include charts, buttons, forms and small interactive tools built on the fly.
On the startup fundraising front, TypeSafe AI raised $870M at a $7.5B valuation in a round led by a16z, just weeks after launching Jev, a model that returns scores and probabilities instead of prose and says it passed 1M users in days. Elsewhere, AI evaluation platform Arena nearly doubled its valuation to $3.1B in ten months with a $200M Series B, and chip simulation startup Vinci raised $250M at a $1.5B valuation.
If that wasn’t enough, it was also SF Tech Week, where we hosted two new media summits: one with media execs alongside Yahoo, and one with creators alongside EO. More on both soon.

Must-watch interviews from our podcast show
Linda Tong, CEO of Webflow, joins us to explain how she’s leading Webflow’s transformation from a $4 billion website builder into an agentic marketing platform, why she believes the internet is filling up with AI-generated “garbage” from people who never asked what’s worth building, and how she thinks about winning in a market where AI capability itself isn’t a moat.
During the episode, we also explore an interesting trend and tension: what it takes to build “taste” into AI-generated products when every model can now write clean code but none of them can reliably read a brand. Linda also shared how enterprise pricing negotiations are exposing the gap between what companies pay for and the value they actually get, and how she expects websites themselves to evolve from static pages into something closer to Google Maps: constantly adapting and reshaping around each visitor.
