  2. Hire Reddit posters (e.g. on Upwork).

  4. Start a newsletter (e.g. on Substack or Beehiiv).

  5. Collaborate with creators (e.g. Attio). You can use platforms such as Passionfroot to hire creators.

  6. Offer free trials.

  7. Provide royalties (money) for each new customer referred by existing users (e.g. Onlyfans).

  8. Add a price comparison page of your competitors (e.g. Clickup).

  9. Launch on Hacker News (e.g. ElevenLabs).

🔍 BUILDING THE COMPANY BRAND

  1. Start a community for customers (e.g. Monzo). You can use platforms such as Circle or Discourse to host the community.

  2. Make your first few hundred customers super fans (Read Kevin Kelly’s '1,000 True Fans' for inspiration).

  3. Give content for your customers to share (e.g. Spotify).

  4. Provide merchandise (e.g. Hyrox).

  5. Produce engaging content (e.g. Ryanair).

  6. Launch a meme campaign (playful, product-relevant).

  7. Create an internal style guide for brand voice.

  8. Build a brand customers will love (e.g. Chewy who send you a bunch of flowers when your pet passes away).

  9. Add 24/7 chatbot + human handover.

  10. Write an email to new customers from your founders (e.g. Circle).

  11. Don’t be too serious, be funny at times (e.g. Ryanair).

  12. Add edgy words on your website.


🚀 GROWING THE COMPANY BRAND

  1. Host/sponsor events.

  2. Sponsor/launch podcasts.

  3. Sponsor industry reports.

  4. Hire brand ambassadors.

  5. Employee Generated Content. This will be huge over the coming years (You can use platforms such as SoSha).

  6. Build in public (e.g. Heights and Buffer).

  7. Build great relationships with journalists (You can use platforms such as Prowly).

  8. Repurpose all your content.

  9. Enable instant demos to be available with human 1:1 (e.g. Stripe).


🔥 BUILDING A COMMUNITY

  1. Gamify the community such as using badges (e.g. Duolingo).

  2. Ask for product feedback from your customers (e.g. through Typeform).

  3. Have limited editions of your products.

  4. Engage with all comments you receive on social media.

  5. Allow community ambassadors to help fellow customers trouble-shoot bugs ( e.g. Monzo and Pory).

  6. Promote highly engaged community members to admins (permissions up to you).
